What you will do
You work as part of the wider trading platform development team. In this role you:
- Design, build, and maintain a high performance, high availability trading platform that gives access to a wide range of CeFi, DeFi, and OTC liquidity sources.
- Use software development methods to build and to extend order management, compliance, exchange connectivity, market data, and routing functions.
- Design and build the next generation real-time trading platform.
- Manage and support the operation of the global trading system. Find and correct faults.
- Work closely with the traders and with the business development team, to put new ideas into operation quickly.
- Mentor less experienced members of the team, set an example, and support their professional growth.
The ideal candidate
- Has experience with infrastructure components for high volume, low latency trading, in a proprietary trading firm or in a hedge fund.
- Has a record of building high performance, distributed, and optimized systems, for high throughput or for low latency, in C# or in modern C++, version 11 or later, in a modern Linux environment.
- Keeps the outcome in view, and balances speed to market against high availability and robustness.
- Has experience with meta programming, Git, CI and CD, unit and integration tests, Kafka, FIX, and cloud services.
- Communicates early, gives an opinion, and can disagree and then commit.
- Knowledge of OMS and PMS platforms, of exchange connectivity, or of high volume OTC trading is an advantage.
